Tutorial 1: shut down after starting 3D tool

Hi there,
I've got a problem with tutorial 1 at step 76 in the User Manual. It tells me to zoom out to the full extent of the map and then press the 3D-tool. It works fine if I take 1 or 2 grids, but when I zoom to the complete picture, it will show the 3D Tool window for 1-2 seconds(added picture) and then shut down the entire iMod program.
I've tried to see if it might have been a hardware problem, but neither my CPU or GPU is loaded with more than 10% of their capacities. I checked this by using the Windows Task manager. I followed the installation guide and tutorial to the letter. I also installed the MPI software, might this be intervering with the simulations?
Kind regards and thank you for your help,
Noud
P.S. I wanted to add this to the tutorial categorie but the forum doesn't let me write a new thread there. Might be casued by the known issue.
Edit: I tried it on a different computer and it also crashes on that PC. I didn't install the MPI software on this one to see if that might have been the problem.

Hi Noud, I tried to reproduce what you experience and indeed, iMOD5.0 crashes when starting the 3D viewer. What I can find now is that it has to do with the amount of boreholes in the IPF file. Displaying the borehole from another tutorial (\tutorials\TUT_Solid_Building\BOREHOLES.IPF) in the 3D viewer is no problem. I think we had a similar issue in the 3D viewer while I do not encounter this crash anymore in the actual development version of iMOD. That version is to be released as version 5.1 to in May/June. If you really need to display this or other IPF files in 3D you can also return to iMOD4.4, the previous version, for this issue only. Kind regards, Frans Roelofsen
