Generate IDF timeseries

I have a model with a river boundary condition defined by an IDF file. I now wish to run as transient model, the river has a tidal influence so I need to use hourly stress periods to reflect the changing river level (probably over 100 hours). I have an excel file with the hourly river levels. From looking at the manual it seems I need to generate a series of IDF files with the date/time in the Name of the file. Is there a method for generating these within iMod?

Hi Gerry,
Did you consider using the ISG type of river input?
More on the ISG format you find in chapter 6.10 of the Manual (ISG options). This type of river input file allows you to upload a csv file with Water Levels over time, just what you describe. The basis is a line element in stead of an IDF grid. See the screen dump to get an idea. I will e-mail you a very basic ISG example set.
Kind regards,
Frans
