Horizontal fluxes into and out of a subregion

I often come across the task of calculating a water balance for a subregion of a larger model from the bdg*-files. This works well using the water balance tool.
I was wondering if it is also possible to calculate the horizontal groundwater fluxes over the border of the subregion. If I understand well, the water balance tool will simply add up the bdgfrf- and bdgfff-fluxes of all individual model cells, and therefore does not give the horizontal flux over the zone boundaries.
Any tips are appreciated very much!

 Hi Esther,

In iMOD there is the option "save interconnected flux between zones" both in iMOD GUI (Waterbalance Tool) and in iMOD Batch (function WBALANCE, keyword WBEX). Therefore you have to feed the waterbalance tool with a IDF containing at lease 2 zones/subregions.

Kind regards,
