CPT error 2D viewer

Hi all,I am viewing +500 CPT files (pressure graphs) in the 2D viewer. The files are downloaded from Dinoloket and imported as CPT in the iMOD Manager. I noticed that iMOD crashes when reading some specific CPTs (not randomly). I wonder how I can find out what which GEF files are causing this problem. Would it be possible to give suggestions on where to look for in the data, or in any kind of log file?Kind regards,Johannes

Hi Johannes,
A crash of iMOD is of course annoying. First check: do you run the latest version of iMOD, version 5.2?
About your problem. There is no log file that can help you in this case. Perhaps there is a way to get feed back from iMOD about which CPT/GEF gives the problem.  Therefor use the iMOD batch function GEF2IPF
Familiar with iMOD batch?  Read more about it in Chapter 8 iMOD Manual.
In short: you can use iMOD.exe not only to open/start the iMOD program but you can also use iMOD.exe to run an iMOD batch function. Therefor you must start iMOD with an argument, in this case the argument must be an INI file with the keywords of the function GEF2IPF, e.g. a file with the name GEF2IPF.ini. For the content of this INI file see example 1 in chapter 8.8.4 of the manual.  To run your function open a DOS window and run a command like "c:\imod\version5.2\iMOD_V5_2_X64R.exe GEF2IPF.ini".  Try it yourself.
If there is an error in one of the GEF files, iMOD will probably echo the filename. However, if your function has run correct, an IPF is created with no problem and you can display the IPF file in iMOD then your crash is caused by something else. In that case, please provide me with your data set of GEF files. Kind regards, Frans

Hi Johannes, Did my suggestions help?
Don't hesitate to contact me if you cannot continue. We could organize a Teams meeting.
In case you found the issue with the GEF file, please share your conclusions. Perhaps we should change iMOD or add explanatory text to the manual.
Let me know.Kind regards, Frans
