Delft3D FM not showing the water level changes after the run

Hi,
I am running a storm surge model using the Delft3D FM flow model. I was able to run it without any errors, but the model does not reflect changes in water level. The observation points indicate that the water level peaks at the beginning and then gradually decreases over time. However, it should be other way around, the water level should be at its peak during the storm (before the cyclone made landfall. But some parameters showed correct results during the storm, such as velocity and bed shear stress. I kept the model for a considerable amount of time assuming that it would need time to spin up, but the results did not change over time. The model coordinate system is in WGS84. It seems in Delft3D FM, the model gets very heavy with WGS84. Would appreciate it if anyone can help me on this issue.

Thanks
