Variable sediment thickness

Hello,
I am using Delft3D FM version 2020.02 and I am trying to run a morpho model with combined flows and waves.
The flow and wave module are running without issues. However, when I try to run the morpho module with variable initial sediment thickness, I keep getting this error:
** ERROR : RDMORLYR Error reading samples (not covering full grid) Sand_IniSedThick.xyz at location (x,y)=(175981.077,**********).
I have checked the grid and the *xyz points files multiple times and the grid is fully covered. I have tried building the variable thickness file using polygons, and points, and also filling the grid using the "overwrite where missing". When I check the model using the "validate" tool, it shows no errors. However, when I start the run I always get the above error.
Has anyone had a similar problem and could provide some guidance on how to solve this issue, please?
Thank you in advance for your time and help
Best regards,
Victoria
