How to of the month (4) - Hide tool windows in specific displays - Delft-FEWS

Did you know that it is possible to configure that tool windows are closed when opening Display Groups or the Grid Display?

Display Groups

Since 2016.01

In the TimeSeriesDisplayConfig.xml configure the option <showDisplayGroupsHideAllToolWindows/>. When now opening the DisplayGroups in the Time Series Display (star-button) all open tool windows (e.g. log panel, data viewer etc.) are closed. If the DisplayGroups Button is disabled again, all hidden tool windows will be shown again. The option is described under this Wiki page.

Grid Display

Since 2021.02

In the SpatialDisplay.xml (gridDisplay) configure the option <showPlotTreeHideAllToolWindows>true</showPlotTreeHideAllToolWindows>. When now opening the Grid Display all open tool windows like the log panel, data viewer etc. will be hidden. The option is described under this Wiki page.
