Hello,
I am developing a salinity model in a region with very high evaporation rates. I am using an older version of the software that necessitates me prescribing the evaporation as a negative rainfall rate.

after several months of running, some areas in the simulation are showing values of 400+ PPT of salinity. I have tried to address this by modifying the dry cell threshold, which helps to some degree, but I am wondering if there are other tools for addressing this besides reducing the evaporation time series.

I see a value called "Sal0abovezlev" in the MDU file but when I try and change it, the model will not run.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Russell Nasrallah
United States Army Corps of Engineers
