I can successfully build delft3d_open.sln by prepare_sln.py within 69179 source code, but the results don't have dimr_open.sln, how to config the python file to build the dimr.dll and dimr.exe.

I have not been able to compile successfully with Intel oneAPI 2023, but I did manage to track down download links for Intel oneAPI 2021 (Base Kit and HPC Kit) on the Intel community forum (see below). I'm working now on reinstalling and trying to compile again with ifort2021.

Ok, so I manage to compile the files by using visual studio 2019 version 16.8.2, and extracting the files w_BaseKit_p_2021.2.0.2871_offline.exe and w_HPCKit_p_2021.2.0.2901_offline.exe, and then running bootstraper.exe manually. I use common WinRAR to extract the files.

ERROR while copying when compiling

I'm trying to compile tag 142586 on an environment with win10, visual studio 2019, Intel OneApi 2023, and .NET 4.8. I followed the instructions in the README-file and used the "built.bat" file to start the compilation. I managed to compile all builds except one (see build_all.log).

It seems as the error occur when the compiler tries to copy files. The error seems to be related to that the pathways is not correct. In the pathways there is a "\" missing (e.g. Line 7777 in build_all.log):
ERROR: while copying ":\oneAPI\\mpi\latestenv\*.bat" to "C:\Delft3d\142586\build_all\x64\Release\dflowfm\bin
the pathway should be (bold letters indicates difference):
C:\oneAPI\\mpi\latest\env\*.bat" to "C:\Delft3d\142586\build_all\x64\Release\dflowfm\bin

Also, it seems as if the pathways to OneAPI are not correct in the compilation (Line 7494-7502):

Hi JuYoung,

from the compilation message, I can see you are trying to compile in parallel mode, it means you are trying to use mpi. Do you have installed the mpi libraries on your Mac? The Fortran compiler says you that it does not find those libraries. My advice would be that first, you should try to compile in serial mode. Try to publish your doubts in the swanmodel-users mailing list, maybe there, you will find more support from the Swan modellers.

I have the same issue. I also tried via WSL but got stuck when executing ds-install with the error: sys/sysctl.h no such file or directory - I've seen this has been discontinued, but I don't know a workaround.

Installation SWAN in MAC OS

2	I am new to SWAN. I want to install on MAC OS, but I'm having a lot of difficulties from the first step.
3	I downloaded the installation file from this link(https://swanmodel.sourceforge.io/) and started the installation as attached files.
4	However, like attached file, I failed to install and was not able to still solve the problem because I do not understand the exact meaning of it.

Compiling Delft3d 4 suit with VS and Intel oneAPI

Hello,

I am trying to compile Delft3d 4 suit (structural grid). I face some issues with Visual Studio and oneapi Basekit and HPCkit.

First, I used VS 2022 and the latest available versions of oneapi, but this trial didn't work.

Then, I searched a lot for VS 2019 and oneabi 2021. I already have the offline versions:
- w_BaseKit_p_2021.2.0.2871_offline.exe
- w_HPCKit_p_2021.2.0.2901_offline.exe

I installed Visual studio version 2019. Then when I try to install oneapi basekit, the installation doesn't start, just showing the background of installations as shown in the attached image and then disappeared without continuing the installation.

Any recommendations to overcome this point.

What I did was adding the SECONDS_SINCE_REFDAT.f90 and DATETIME_FROM_REFDAT.f90 functions to the deltares_common package.
These are the steps (from what I remember):

1. Open deltares_common.vfproj in ...\src\utils_lgpl\deltares_common\packages\deltares_common directory
2. Include the requested functions by adding following lines to the list:

1	<File RelativePath="src\datetime_from_refdat.f90"/>
2	<File RelativePath="src\seconds_since_refdat.f90"/>

3. Rebuild the project.

If I remember it correctly, after you rebuild, it will request for another functions to be included. The steps will be the same.

Thank you Rushdi, finally it worked. The other two files that I had to add were "julday.f90" and "caldat.f90". If anyone else is running into this problem, try checking out the revision that was in Rushdi's first post. The latest revision didn't work for me!

Ok. So I updated again the repository with the trunk. As instructed, I have adjusted the IFORT_COMPILER in the .vcxproj.
But, I get the following errors:

Error   LNK2001   unresolved external symbol SECONDS_SINCE_REFDAT flow2d3d (engines_gpl\flow2d3d\flow2d3d)
Error   LNK2001   unresolved external symbol DATETIME_FROM_REFDAT   flow2d3d (engines_gpl\flow2d3d\flow2d3d)
Error   LNK1120   2 unresolved externals   flow2d3d (engines_gpl\flow2d3d\flow2d3d)

Any lead is much appreciated.
