But it would seem logical to get the D3d source code compiled on your PC first if possible. A lot of the input files for the models (e.g. .dep files for bathymetry and .ldb files for land boundaries, etc) are simple ascii files. You can make them using your desktop notepad and add the relevant extension (e.g. .dep or .ldb) at the end when saving them.

For information on the format of these input files, you can see the Appendices A in the Delft3D-FLOW module!
Hello,
Using Windows 10 Professional x64 , VS2015 update 3 (Professional) and IFORT 16 (Intel Parallel Studio XE 2016).

Running into some troubles compiling that are causing the Windows stop code "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION" at various points in the build.
The compiler hasn't been throwing any errors, but the compilation seems to get stuck, freezing and then crashing the computer. I tried building each of the projects individually and found that only 'tools_gpl' is causing the problem. The last line that caused a crash was 'dio-ds-config.F90'

Any suggestions/advice appreciated!
Cheers,
Lochlan Noble

Please use the latest tagged version, currently: https://svn.oss.deltares.nl/repos/delft3d/tags/delft3dfm/64173/

Compiling on Windows is much easier than on Linux, as long as you
have a good look at this page: https://oss.deltares.nl/web/delft3d/source-code

With "use the same compiler" is meant: If you use Intel
Fortran 18.0 for compiling Delft3D, you should also use the Intel
Fortran 18.0 and the Intel C 18.0 compiler to built all the related
 libraries (netcdf, mpich, petsc).

Regards,
