Hi Chao,

Unfortunately there is no direct way that I'm aware of to apply a Neumann boundary condition in Delwaq. You would first have to calcluate the relation of each parameter outside of Delwaq, using scripting for instance, and provide the boundary as a time series.

I am trying to run some water quality simulations with DelWAQ module. For several boundary conditions I plan to set Neumann conditions, however I could only find a way to specify constants or time series of values to the boundary. I wonder how I could set the boundary condition to a Neumann condition? Many thanks in advance.

In DELWAQ, chlorine is simulated only as a decayable substance and no processes are applied. I need to simulate residual chlorine on a channel where a thermal effluent discharges into the channel. Did anyone faced a similar issue?

The definition of the processes you add via the Open PLCT GUI to the set is automatically stored in the processes library files you selected. If you open those, then you should be able to see the new processes. Note that this may be the processes library files that come with the installation.
By the way: I have added the makefiles needed to make the waqpb programs on Linux resume examples online - these were missing (we simply never created them for these tools). After an update of the source code you should be able to build them as part of the general build process.

The previous version of the user-interface indeed was able to import the ".src" files that contain the flow rates as specified in the hydrodynamic calculation. Unfortunately this is not (yet) possible in DeltaShell iliteblue.com

In the Delwaq Input file manual offshorededi in chapter 2.3.1, you can see how to hook up Particle tracking in Delwaq. You will than have the concentrations of the oil spill available in Delwaq. There, you can add an extra processes that reduce available based on that oil concentration. How you could do that is described in the Open PLCT manual.

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to set up a water quality simulation coupled to the results of a Delft3D-Flow simulation. When I run the preprocessor delwaq1 I get the following error message:
ERROR : real array is too big. Unable to create pointer
I found the related passage in the source code in file dhmmra.f, it's due to an integer overflow of the variable counting the size of an array. If I change the variable to an 8 byte integer, delwaq1 runs without an error. But of course, delwaq2 crashes because the array is used in many other parts of the program.
Is there any way to avoid this error and get DELWAQ to run with large models?
