Hi, I'm trying to install Delft3D on Mint 18.1 (a branch of Ubuntu 16.04) using the build_ubuntu1604.sh file.

I'm running into the following error:
libtool: error: cannot find the library '/home/heroldn/Programs/ncdfbin/lib/libnetcdf.la' or unhandled argument '/home/heroldn/Programs/ncdfbin/lib/libnetcdf.la'

The error is clear but I have installed my netcdf libraries into /home/heroldn/Programs/netcdf-4.4.1-install/lib and have adjusted LD_LIBRARY_PATH accordingly. Does anyone know why libtool would still be looking in the above directory for that library file?

I've also tried setting the LDFLAGS and LDFLAGSMT_ADDITIONAL variables without success.

Any help would be appreciated.

Nick.
