How to calculate bottom shear stress ?

Hi,
After performing the wave-flow coupling simulation, the bed shear stress can be viewed in the trim-name.dat file. Also, when computing WAQ, the shear stress can be input as item total bottom shear stress (Tau). However, I found that Tau is very different from bed shear stress, and the former is 3 orders of magnitude smaller than the latter. Why is this?
What should I do if I want to use the bed shear stress output in FLOW as WAQ input directly?
Best wishes,
Zhen
